Hello! Something a little different from us today - we have news to share on a few Nature based workshops we are going to be running - in the real world! They are all based in the Lake District, UK, so apologies to our further flung readers, but if you are local(ish), read on!
Since 2013, we have been bringing people into the outdoors, teaching traditional skills and providing the opportunity for folks to forge a deeper connection with Nature. Since moving to Cumbria a couple of years ago, we’ve been quietly developing plans for new workshops in foraging, wild medicine making, outdoor skills and more - and are now ready to launch our first few dates!
Do check out the courses we are offering below (or visit our workshops page here), we’d love to see you there.
We are also always open to hosting private workshops for organisations looking for a meaningful alternative to the traditional away day, so do get in touch if you’d like to talk more about that.
Finally, we’d love it if you could share this post with your networks, helping us spread the word on our workshop offerings is very much appreciated!
Foraging and Wild Medicine Walk
Saturday April 27th 9.30am - 1.30pm
Brantwood, Coniston
Join us in the woods and meadows of the Brantwood estate for a morning of foraging, Nature connection and plant wisdom! Spend time fully immersed in Nature, exploring fascinating interactions between plants, animals and fungi and discovering medicinal and culinary uses for native plants. We’ll forage ingredients to later use in wild tea making, discovering the tastes and smells of each plant - Nature connection in its most tangible form!

Soaking in the Seasons

This is a collaborative workshop between Emma and Lorna Singleton Spelk Basketry
‘Soaking in the Seasons’ is a four part seasonal exploration for women into natural dyeing, foraging and nature connection. Emma and Lorna will be exploring Nature connection in a series of diverse landscapes through natural dyeing, foraging, traditional skills, creativity and seasonal celebrations. There will also be the chance to swim in lakes and rivers, eat delicious home cooked food and form new connections with the landscape and each other.
Exact locations will be revealed closer to the dates, but they will all be in and around the southern/western fells of Cumbria.

Slow Adventure Hike and Camp
Eskdale, Cumbria
Date TBC
Join us in the Lake District for a day (and night) of guided, intentional slow adventure. We’ll spend the day walking together through a variety of landscapes, taking time to notice the details, stopping for snacks and teas brewed from the wild plants we find before spending the night under canvas and star filled skies.
We’ll be adding more courses as the year progresses so do keep checking the workshops page here.
We are really excited to be teaching again and can’t wait to hopefully meet some of you on a course soon!
With warm wishes,
Andrew and Emma
Wonderful! Best of luck with the new/revamped venture!
Well done guys! That’s awesome. I will check them out.
