Hello. What strange times we live in. Yet we must carry on regardless.
Last week we promised news so this week we intend to deliver and fill you in on what we’ve been up to and what we have planned for the weeks and months ahead.
Kendal Mountain Festival
We are excited to be giving a talk at Kendal Mountain Festival on November 23rd as part of Fjällräven’s Slow Adventure Sessions. We will be sharing our story, chatting about the joys and benefits of going slow, and of the profound impact that embracing slowness in other areas of life can offer. I think tickets are already sold out but we’ll be hanging out on the Fjällräven stand in the basecamp tent so if you’re going to be at KMF come and say hello!
A Video to Share
You will no doubt remember that at the back end of September we headed out with Fjällräven for a multi-day hike with around 250 people on the UK Classic. We already shared our own film and a whole host of images from the event, but here is the official film shot by our friend, Pete Naylor, who did an amazing job of capturing the spirit of the hike. The eagle eyed amongst you will notice that we feature in the film a few times - I love the shot of Benji hopping across the stepping stones.
A brief photographic interlude
It has been a grey and dull autumn so far. For the last two weeks a stubborn blanket of cloud has covered most of the country but winds have been light and the days imbued with a certain calm and slowness.
A New Website
As you may have noted from our popular “What do you do?” post, we do a lot of different things. Over the years our website has evolved many times as we figure out who we are and which aspects of our work we want to focus on. We have been working on a new website lately - we decided to embrace the reality of our sometimes chaotic but fulfilling way of working by including all aspects of the work we do. Although many and varied, the strands of our work can all be traced back to the three tenets of Nature, Creativity and Adventure and so we have structured our new site to reflect that, which actually helps organise things nicely. If you have time, we’d love it if you took a look. Please let us know if you spot any errors and do pass it on to anyone you think might be interested in what we do…
Well, that’s all for this week.
We hope the sun shines this weekend wherever you are.
With warm wishes,
Andrew, Emma and Benji x
