Hello! It’s been a while, how are you? Since out last post back in early July (!) a whole season has passed by and we find ourselves on the brink of autumn equinox, reflecting back on our first summer in Cumbria. We have lots of plans for the autumn and winter ahead; more adventures in the outdoors, some new podcast episodes, a little shop refresh and new product ideas to name a few. We look forward to sharing more soon, but for now, here is a photographic summer round up with some accompanying words from our nature journal.
Sending warm, cosy autumnal wishes.

Thoughts on the end of summer 2022.
A melancholy evening, sensing the end of summer after a chilly river swim. Golden light flickered in the canopy, illuminating the first flashes of yellow in the birch leaves. As is normal, a moment of brief panic; we are not quite ready for summer to be over. But our first summer in the north has been kind to us. We have made many memories that will warm our spirits during the cold, dark months ahead and we can rest easy knowing we made the most of the long days, squeezing every last drop of goodness out of summer’s bounty. It’s not all been easy, we thought often of our old woodland home to begin with and our hearts were heavy as family visitors came and then went again. We have missed friends and faced challenges adjusting to new ways of working and living. But we have hiked and explored and canoed and swam in lakes and rivers and succeeded in living the life we were seeking. Autumn and winter will no doubt present new challenges but for now here’s a photographic look back at our favourite moments of our first summer in the Lake District.
What an inspiring family you are🥰 This account says everything about you all and I am so happy to have shared some of these moments with you. It was wonderful and magestic because of how you navigated the whole experience for us. I hope that the autumn brings more treasure of a different kind into your story. With gratitude and love❤️
