We have been teased with bouts of sunshine bringing warmth and hopefully a taste of things to come. Spring definitely brings a sense of hope and delight in the joy of Natures new beginnings. 💚💛
It seems like spring happened all within one week here! The cherry tree in my yard bloomed and the next thing I knew the leaves were popping on all of the trees, the weeds are growing, the bees are out, and pollen is EVERYWHERE!!
It's at this time of year, the slow and bleak gradient from winter to spring I'm at my most impatient. Bring on the warmth and dry times. I'm itching to get stuck into my hives. The bees are brining in lots of pollen and the queens are laying. It's just a little too cold and damp to justify bothering them.
Definitely - impatient sums it up. If I were a bee I would not want to be bothered right now, that's for sure. Here's hoping for warmth and drier times soon...
Yes, we had a sunny Sunday but are back to heavy rain today and it doesn't look great for the week ahead. The birds definitely help to enliven the scene, even on a gloomy day - yesterday we heard the first meadow pipits in the hills and I hadn't realised how quiet it has been without them there over winter. Fingers crossed for more sunny days soon!
I love the idea of planting a tree for hope, it’s gentle but meaningful. Thank you for the words.

Ah wow, that sounds amazing - I'm a little envious, haha!
