Issue #84 The Misc Adventures Digest
Kendal Mountain Festival, Slow Adventure and a short video to share...
Hello there. How are you? We have been fairly busy with our various types of work which has left little time for sharing words and images - things will settle down soon and I hope to get back into the habit of writing weekly. In the meantime, a small update and a video to share!
We were at Kendal Mountain Festival last weekend, which was amazing but also a bit more hectic than we would have liked thanks to Storm Bert which brought snow and floods in quick succession. We gave a talk on slow adventuring and Nature connection as part of the Fjällräven Slow Adventure Sessions which was a really fun thing to be part of and a real privilege to share our story and experiences with the sold out crowd.
KMF was a fun experience and it was good to see so many familiar faces although we didn’t get to catch up with everyone we wanted to, which I think seems to always be the way. Massive thanks to Fjällräven for inviting us to take part and to everyone who gave us nice feedback on our talk - we are emboldened, invigorated and seeking further opportunities to talk about what we do.
We wrote a post about slow adventure before, but putting this talk together gave us time to delve deeper into what slowing down means and helped us to come up with some practical advice for those seeking a slower way of doing things outdoors so I think it’s something we’ll revisit soon.
As part of our talk we also made this little video which we wanted to share with you here - you’ll need the sound on FYI.
In other news, it was frosty this week and it’s on mornings like this that I’m especially grateful I get to work outside:
Well, that’s about all for this week - thanks as always for reading and your continued support. Until next time…
Warmest wishes,
Andrew, Emma and Benji

The video was so soothing and a great reminder of how to be in Nature💚 and I love the frosty photos ❄️ so beautiful. Thank you again ☺️
Those frosty images are so beautiful! Colorado Springs doesn't get frost like this often because of the dry air. And when we DO get frost, I'm driving to work 😂
