Beautiful words Emma and I feel your loss of Summer too. I always gireve the ending of summer. For us this last summer kind of didn't happen either but for different reasons. Now though as October has set in, I can feel myself easing into it and appreciating the golden light and crisp mornings of Autumn. But like you say, we all know what's coming!
Hello, Ruth! Lovely to see you here. I must give Andrew credit for the words, but we've been easing into Autumn too, enjoying the colours and crispness, hopefully we'll have a lot more of that before winter sets in! I hope you are all well, Emma x
Always adjustments to make at the turn of the seasons. It’s like needing to take a deep breath before the changes happen and we live our lives a little differently again. Lovely expressive words Andrew. 😊
Wow! Well done! I have some similar feelings about this time of year. It feels like the summertime was a span of open opportunity that is somehow now slipping away. Autumn is by far my favorite season and very nostalgic for me, but still I always feel like its much too brief, so there is a sadness in already knowing it will be gone soon.
I actually wrote a similar post that will publish on Sunday. Its very scant on words, though. You've done an outstanding job writing what I struggled to say!
Thank you Erik. It's interesting that autumn feels particularly nostalgic to so many of us. Here's to a great autumn ahead for you - a magic time for photography!

Thanks Thomas, much appreciated!

Thank you! Yes, that's a good way of putting it - in that way I suppose each turn of the season represents potential opportunity.

I hope the same for you Andrew! Maybe it will be a warm, dry autumn! 😁
